Bean2me, pioneer of the sustainable coffee break at work and first B Corp certified in Switzerland: why this choice?
Since 2017, Bean2me has been reinventing the coffee break at work.
Our mission: to offer sustainable solutions, without compromise on quality or impact.
Fossil-free deliveries, reusable containers, seasonal fruits, responsible snacking, machines repaired rather than replaced… we have always acted with a demand for consistency.
In 2024, this demand took a new form: we became the first coffee operator in Switzerland to obtain B Corp certification.
A strategic and symbolic milestone that allows us to state loud and clear: at Bean2me, sustainability is not a marketing argument, it is a framework, a compass, and proof of action.
Why did we make this choice?
What does it imply?
- Why become B Corp? A commitment, not a marketing move
- What the certification changes (and confirms)
- Our concrete actions for a lasting impact
- Since 2017, sustainability has been part of our DNA
- In conclusion: towards a more consistent coffee break
- Are you a CSR officer, HR, office manager or executive?Looking for solutions consistent with your internal commitments?
Why become B Corp? A commitment, not a marketing move
In a context where CSR claims multiply, where “green” logos bloom on every website and package, one question arises: how do we separate intentions from facts?
At Bean2me, we didn’t just want to display commitments. We wanted them to be measured, audited and independently recognized.
That is precisely what B Corp certification offers.
Led by the non-profit organization B Lab, it evaluates companies according to a clear framework, structured around five pillars:
- Responsible governance
- Working conditions and social policy
- Environmental engagement
- Client impact
- Contribution to the community
To be certified, a company must achieve at least 80 points out of 200, with verifiable evidence, measurable indicators, and a rigorous external audit.
No self-declarations, no groundless promises.
B Corp does not reward perfect companies, it values companies that are genuinely committed to continuous improvement.
What the certification changes (and confirms)
Obtaining B Corp certification is a major milestone for Bean2me.
First, because it objectively validates a deep commitment, built since our creation.
Second, because it allows us to structure our efforts, set priorities and integrate sustainability into every decision.
But above all, it confirms our role as a pioneer of the sustainable coffee break in Switzerland.
We don’t just deliver coffee without capsules:
- We design zero-waste solutions,
- We repair our machines instead of pushing for purchases,
- We choose local, sustainable, committed partners.
Even our coffee brand, Chronic., is itself B Corp certified.
Roasted in Switzerland, in small batches, less than a month before delivery, it illustrates what we stand for: freshness, traceability, minimal impact.
This double certification strengthens the consistency of our approach. It reassures our clients, builds credibility in CSR-driven tenders, and pushes us to maintain a high level of ambition.

Our concrete actions for a lasting impact
B Corp is not obtained with good intentions or nice storytelling.
It is based on actions. Here are some concrete examples of what we have implemented, and which counted in our certification.
1. A zero-waste coffee break
- Reusable containers: coffee beans delivered in reusable 5kg buckets.
- Coffee grounds recovery: collected at each delivery, transformed into compost or biomaterial.
- No capsules, no pods: 100% of our solutions are designed without disposable plastic or aluminum.
2. Clean and local logistics
- Fossil-free deliveries: only by cargo bike or electric vehicles.
- Local sourcing: coffee roasted in Switzerland, seasonal fruits from Swiss, French, and nearby Italian partners.
3. A circular economy for equipment
- Coffee machines repaired and maintained, to avoid systematic replacement.
- Revalorization of used equipment whenever possible.
- Optimization of consumables (water, cleaning products, etc.).
4. An inclusive HR policy
- Collaboration with the PRO Foundation, which supports people in professional reintegration.
- Sustainable working conditions: managed schedules, transparent objectives, clear wage policy.
5. A responsible and educational offer
- Ongoing awareness-raising of our teams and clients about sustainability issues.
- Seasonal fruits only, with full transparency on origin and short supply chains.
- Reasoned snacking, free of plastic packaging, with an organic and fair-trade range.
6. Complementary recognition: EcoEntreprise Excellence
Before B Corp, we had already obtained the Swiss EcoEntreprise Excellence certification.
The two certifications complement each other: one locally anchored, the other globally recognized.
Since 2017, sustainability has been part of our DNA
If B Corp certification is recent, the commitment is not.
Since day one, we have asked ourselves:
Why generate an additional waste with every coffee?
This question has guided our choices.
It pushed us to imagine fossil-free logistics.
It led us to reject capsules and focus on repair.
It still drives us today to educate, to engage, to progress.
We didn’t change our model to obtain B Corp certification.
We were certified because our model was already aligned.
This recognition now obliges us to go further. At every certification cycle, every three years, we will be reassessed.
New questions, new expectations, new objectives.
And that is exactly how it should be.
In conclusion: towards a more consistent coffee break
Can the coffee break at work be synonymous with consistency, sobriety, respect?
At Bean2me, we answer yes, every day, through action.
B Corp certification is a step. It gives us a framework, a community, a roadmap.
But it does not replace vigilance, questioning, transparency.
Our goal remains the same: to offer a responsible coffee, fruit and snacking experience, that meets today’s expectations.
Not just good. Not just convenient. But sustainable, credible and deliberate.
